From the physics lab to the page
My full name is Dr. Katherine E.A. Korkidis, but over the years my students have affectionately come to call me Dr. K. My journey began in industry, where I conducted original research after completing my graduate degree in physics and chemistry. Alongside my research, I taught at several universities and developed new technologies, all while exploring the world, from the United States and Canada to Europe, Russia and the Far East.
Eventually I realized that storytelling was my true passion, and I began writing full-time. My first novel, Josette, marked the beginning of this new chapter. In 2024 I ventured into children's literature with Dr. K's Portal Through Time, a series that combines history, science and adventure for readers aged 8 to 12.
